My short stay at SAMARCH was a fantastic learning opportunity. Considering that all of my lessons this year have been online, it was refreshing to work and learn from professionals in person.

Prior to working at SAMARCH, salmon and trout migration was a subject I was unfamiliar with, but I have since gained new insight and appreciation for the importance of monitoring fish population. The photo below was taken during the process of measuring the length of the fish, and collecting scale samples.
